AI Custom Solutions

If you're a CMO, COO, or founder thinking about AI right now, you have three bad options. Hire a consultancy who'll write you a deck about AI strategy and leave the building to someone else. Hire a dev shop who'll build something technically impressive but disconnected from how marketing, comms, and operations actually run. Or try to figure it out internally without the technical depth to make it real. We've watched all three fail.

01 / Description

THAT exists between those options. We're a comms agency that ships software. The same brand and brain that's running your PR or your campaign or your media plan also has the capability to build the tools your operation actually needs — the kind of tools that don't exist as off-the-shelf SaaS, that your IT team doesn't have time to build, and that a generic AI consultancy doesn't have the operational context to design properly.

The work is concrete, not theoretical. Custom GPTs and AI assistants trained on your business context. Automation flows that connect the systems your team is currently moving data between by hand. Bespoke AI agents that take real actions on your behalf — research, drafting, coordination, reporting. Internal dashboards with AI features built in. Document intelligence pipelines that turn PDFs into structured data. Customer-facing chatbots that don't embarrass you. Voice and audio AI for transcription, voice agents, and call workflows. Computer vision tools for image analysis and tagging. Marketing automations that compress weeks of manual reporting work into hours. We build, we ship, we maintain.

03 / Process

01
Discover

Two to three weeks. We map your operation — what your team is doing manually, what data lives where, where the bottlenecks are, where the highest-value AI opportunities sit. We interview the people doing the actual work, not just leadership. You get a written diagnostic with a prioritized list of opportunities, ranked by impact and feasibility. Some clients stop here, take the document, and act on it themselves. We're fine with that.

02
Design

One to two weeks per project. For each opportunity we move forward on: a clear specification of what the tool does, what data it touches, what the user experience is, what the integration points are, and what success looks like. Approved in writing before any building begins. We don't start coding until everyone agrees on what's being built.

03
Build

Two to six weeks per project depending on scope. We ship working software in iterations, not in big-bang launches. You see progress weekly. Test environments before production. We use the model providers and infrastructure that fit the brief — not a fixed stack we're trying to sell you on.

04
Operate

Optional but recommended. AI tools degrade without maintenance — model performance shifts, edge cases emerge, integrations break, requirements evolve. We offer ongoing operation and improvement on tools we've built. The alternative is your team owning maintenance, which usually means the tool slowly stops working until someone notices six months later.

04 / FAQ

Both, and that's the point. We're a comms agency with a real software capability — the same team that runs your PR or your campaign can also build the AI tools your operation needs. Most agencies can't build software. Most AI consultancies don't understand marketing or operations. We're the rare middle.

We tell you. Plenty of operational problems get solved better by a Zapier automation, a clean spreadsheet, or a hire — not by AI. We've turned down AI engagements where the actual fix was simpler and recommended the cheaper path. We charge for outcomes, not for AI specifically.

Seriously. Every engagement starts with a data scoping conversation — what data the tool touches, where it lives, what model providers see what, retention policies, access control. We work with whatever security posture your operation requires, including air-gapped or on-premise deployments where the brief warrants. We don't train shared models on your data unless you explicitly want us to.

Discovery is fixed-fee and short. Build engagements scale with scope and complexity. We give you a written estimate before any building begins, not after. Bespoke AI work is more expensive than off-the-shelf SaaS for most things and cheaper than hiring a full-time AI engineer for almost anything. We tell you which tier you're in early.

Yes. About half of our engagements end with our team handing off code, documentation, and runbooks to an in-house team that takes over operation. The other half stay with us for ongoing operation. Both shapes work — we adjust to what your operation actually needs.
